What is Trash?
  • According to the Basel Convention:
    "Substances or objects which are disposed of or are intended to be disposed of or are required to be disposed of by the provisions of national law".

  • The Basel Convention estimated 338 million tonnes of waste was generated in 2001.
  • Americans generated more than 245 million tons of trash (environmental protection agency) in 2005
  • 4 1/2 garbage = person.
  • The organization Inform Inc. reports that 179,000 vehicles are used to take away garbage in the U.S.

  • 2'000'000 bottles used every 5 minutes (U.S.A.)
  • Island San Roque = plastics do not get recycled.
  • Chickr are dying because their stomachs are full of bottles and other things(cigarettes, lighters, food cans).
  • Common fish of the deep ocean= 100 experiments showd that over 1/3 had polluted necropsis.
  • The record holder= only 2 1/2 inches long had 84 pieces in its stomach.
  • No one at this time can sell you an organic fish because they are POLLUTED!!!!
